How does the children's anti-drowning T-shirt work? ▾
The product combines UV protection with drowning prevention. When immersed in water, the inner part inflates instantly and ensures the child is on their back, airways out of water, in less than 5 seconds. You can recharge the inflatable component without replacing the entire shirt.
Can I bathe with the children's anti-drowning T-shirt? ▾
No. It functions as safety equipment meant for wear outside water. Children should remove it when authorized to enter water. It is not a swimming instruction aid like armbands or rings.
What's the difference with armbands, swimming vests, etc.? ▾
Swimming aids are designed for in-water use during bathing and learning. Floatee is certified safety equipment specifically for preventing drowning when worn outside water — distinct purposes requiring different devices.
Does it inflate under the rain? ▾
No. The product requires full water immersion to activate. It won't trigger from rain, water pistols, splashes, or spilled liquids.
Is the T-shirt reusable after inflation? ▾
Yes. The inflatable part separates for machine washing. Unscrew the spent gas cylinder and water detector, then replace with new ones from a
recharge kit ($49). Growing children benefit from keeping the inflatable part while purchasing new shirt sections.
Does it hurt when inflating? ▾
No. The inflation can be surprising but is in no instance painful.
Can it be washed? ▾
Yes. Separate the inflatable part and machine wash the shirt at 30°C / 85°F. For the first wash, use a short cycle with an anti-discoloration wipe.
Is the T-shirt also anti-UV? ▾
Yes. The textile part is anti-UV UPF 50+ — the highest UV protection certification available.
Which size should I choose for my child? ▾
Is it accredited for nautical sports? ▾
No. Although equally effective as certified lifejackets, it lacks regulatory equipment like reflective strips and whistles required for nautical activities.
Does it activate in case of a fall on the floor? ▾
No. Activation requires full water immersion only.
Can I fly with my anti-drowning T-shirt? ▾
Airlines generally permit CO2 capsules in both checked and cabin luggage. We recommend confirming with your specific carrier beforehand.
Is it possible to inflate it by mouth? ▾
No. The children's anti-drowning T-shirt automatically inflates when immersed in water. You shall in no instance inflate it by mouth using the deflation valve.

How do I put the T-shirt on my child? ▾
Put it on like a normal shirt. For convenience, start with the arms rather than the head due to the fitted design.
Can we wear a sweatshirt on top? ▾
No. Additional layers over the shirt may interfere with inflation. However, wearing layers underneath is acceptable.
How do I take care of the T-shirt? ▾
Store in a dry, temperate location. Remove the inflatable part and inflator before machine washing the shirt. Perform annual inspections after the first year. A
maintenance service ($148) is available that includes shirt replacement.
How do I deflate and recharge after inflation? ▾
Open the deflation valve on top of the inflatable part and press the bladder. To recharge, purchase a
recharge kit, unscrew the used gas cylinder and water detector, then screw in new ones. A
recharging service ($99) is also available.
Your fabrics are Oeko-Tex certified. What does this mean? ▾
They are guaranteed free from harmful substances. The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 label guarantees they contain no allergenic dyes, azo dyes (responsible for cancer), PFAS, etc. They're safe for children's sensitive skin.
Can I use an adult recharge on my child's product? ▾
Absolutely not. Under no circumstances should you use a recharge for an adult product on your child's T-shirt. The gas content is totally unsuitable for a child's product.

How can I exchange a product? ▾
Report defects with photos within 3 days of reception. Exchanges require the product in original condition: original packaging, labels attached, unworn and unwashed. No refunds, only exchanges within 3 days. CO2 canisters are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.
What are the return conditions? ▾
Products (except CO2 canisters) may be exchanged within 3 days of reception. The article must be in its original condition, with labels attached, unwashed and unworn (except for trying on). Items with stains, odors, or signs of cleaning will be returned to the customer.
What happens if a refund is sent to an expired card? ▾
Refunds are attached to the bank account itself. Your bank manages redirecting refunds appropriately regardless of card status.
